BRITTANY LUND

DESIGNER

Brittany was born and raised in the small town of 100 Mile house. She grew up on Wattie Rd, where she was raised by her mother and father. Brittany grew up watching her mother and grandmother create costumes for plays, carnivals, and dances and was taught how to sew both by hand and by machine before the age of 10. Brittany always had a passion for sewing and fashion. At the age of 16 she was sent to Vancouver for the summer to study bridal with her aunt who owned a bridal boutique. She began modeling for the boutique that summer, and gained a modelling contract with a local agency shortly after. Through modeling Brittany built relationships with industry professionals, and gained valuable knowledge on how the Industry works. After a few years in the modelling scene Brittany decided to quit to pursue a career in Fashion Design. She studied dressmaking and lingerie design under Chris Falcon, a bridal designer in Vancouver where she was given one on one training, and learned how to create gowns from scratch. After completing her training Brittany moved to Kamloops, where she began working for a local bridal boutique as their seamstress. Three years later Brittany knew that her dream was to design and create gowns so she joined forces with her mother and Wattie Rd Bridal was born.
